RSPB Visitor Centre & Aber Shore

The RSPB has recently upgraded the Visitor Centre at its Loch Lomond reserve, look out for Osprey and Geese. Take a walk too along Aber Shore. We are a short distance from the reserve.

There are many excellent whisky distillery visitor centres in Scotland. One of the best is Glengoyne Distillery, just a short drive away. Take a guided tour of the distillery.

The Dumpling

Right on our doorstep is access to the short climb of Duncryne Hill, better known locally as ‘The Dumpling’. The views are spectacular, across Loch Lomond and its islands towards Ben Lomond, Scotland’s most southerly munro.

Heritage

The Maid of the Loch, Balloch

Moored at nearby Balloch the Maid of the Loch was Loch Lomond’s last serving paddle steamer. During the summer season you can tour the boat and see the progress of its restoration project.
